Breakers are like rovers, except even more removed from society.  Their one aim in life is to find and deconstruct old machines, certain that one day they will find the dregs of old magic in rotten sumps or petrified veins.  They’re vicious and untrusting of outsiders.  But like everyone in Noreela, magic’s loss – and it’s reintroduction – affects them more than they know.
